Who we are

Kommlink was formed in 2000 by Eddie McMahon to serve and deliver consulting and staffing services to clients primarily in the UK and additionally Germany.

During the early days Kommlink stayed flexible and independent with regards to where its sales office was located, although the main office and administrative centre remained in London and in fact London is still the location of its UK entity Kommlink Limited today.

There was definitely a technical bias to Kommlnk’s early clients but they would deliver whatever the client required, be it services in IT, telecom, marketing, sales, legal, procurement or any other area where the client had a need or request. This model has carried through to today where the structure of Kommlink is based on a very process and system oriented delivery model allowing Kommlink to get proficient in any new skill or new area the client requires in a relative short time window. This wide skills focus came from the fact that since the beginning Kommlink has only tended to engage with large or medium sized companies who often have large and varied requests for services.

“Large clients" to me meant I could achieve efficiencies in the contracts and client administration areas but the main reason for wanting to deal with large or medium sized clients was reduced perceived credit risk... To this day Kommlink has never had a client invoice unpaid!”

Who we are

Fast forward a number of years and we get to 2008 - the year Kommlink formed its German base in Munich creating Kommlink GmbH.

This created a legal entity to better serve and supply Kommlink’s already established German based clients by opening a permanent German office.

Germany and Munich, in particular, was chosen as the next step in Kommlink’s story for a number of reasons including the close proximity to those who developed to become Kommlink’s main clients in order to give them a better local based service.

Another main reason for opening this German based legal entity revolves around Kommlink “Core Philosophies” of Transparency, Delivery and Compliancy…. (see next page)

Additionally Munich is a great city and is the home of large Media, Automotive, Engineering, Financial and Telecom companies which are all actual and potential clients for Kommlink. Also Munich is full of both summer and winter attractions with its beer gardens, Oktoberfest and the Alps and finally Munich had an emotional attachment to the Owner/CEO having visited and lived there for 17 years previous.

Kommlink Philosophies

Our philosophy at Kommlink is based around supplying a transparent, compliant and delivery based service to both the candidates and project consultants we find and to the end clients where delivery is achieved.

  • Transparency means being open about our business practices and giving good value to both sides of the business. It also encompasses our vision to clearly explain how we deliver our services and how we deliver a better service at a better price.
  • Delivery, for us in Kommlink, is our main focus and selling point. By delivering what we say, when we say it, giving the value our clients expect, we give these clients the confidence to use Kommlink again and again. Our aim is to become a trusted long term supplier to each and every client we have.
  • Lastly, compliancy to us defines how we protect both our clients and individuals from practices that put all parties at risk. Kommlink offers compliant solution with regards to legal/social security issues and tax issues that either eliminates or minimizes the risk to our clients.

The Game Changer

This was really the “Game Changer” for Kommlink and its future plans.

In a sense Kommlink “pivoted” not in a traditional way of changing the services that were offered (normally because they were no good at what they did before) but in the way they worked. On a small scale Kommlink was very successful but they wanted to expand but in a structured manner so they documented in detail every business activity they performed in effect systemising there business.

Kommlink then needed a greenfield site to expand and implement these systems and processes and after lengthy deliberation Sofia, Bulgaria was chosen and so the next step in the story and in fact the game changing step could begin.

This centre of sourcing excellence allowed Kommlink to assign more specialist staff working on client's requests enabling Kommlink to offer a better service levels than its competition. In addition we focus a great deal on the overall price of the services and consultants that we offer and aim not to be beaten on overall price.

Kommlink in Sofia have recently moved in a new office with space and facilities to expand further and to ready themselves to service new clients.

Kommlink's team has recently grown the team and please see the following page to get a better idea what the standard structure of how Kommlink interacts with its clients is.

Below is the standard team structure we can offer to clients. This includes a minimum of 4 -5 Kommlink employees supporting a specific client project based in both our German and Bulgarian offices.

The senior Account Manager/Director will have a minimum of 5 years experience of dealing with and managing large corporate clients. The Assistant Account Manager is flexible and can work between Germany and Bulgaria to ensure good communications between both Kommlink teams.
